India Triumphs! Relive the Epic Champion Trophy Final 2025: India vs. NZ! 🏆

In the final played on March 9, 2025, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

 Match Highlights: 

 New Zealand Innings: After choosing to bat first, New Zealand scored 251 for seven in the 50 overs that they were given.  With 37 runs off 29 balls, including four boundaries and a six, Rachin Ravindra got things started to a fast start.  With Michael Bracewell's rapid, undefeated 53 off 40 balls and Daryl Mitchell's steady 63 from 101 deliveries, New Zealand reached a respectable score.  

 India's Bowling: New Zealand was largely restrained by the Indian spin trio.  With respective figures of 2 for 40 and 2 for 45, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy each took two wickets.  Ravindra Jadeja was efficient, taking one wicket and giving up just 30 runs in his ten overs.

India's Chase: Responding to this, India got off to a great start with a 105-run opening partnership between captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Sharma took the lead with a brilliant 76 off 83 balls that included three sixes and seven fours. India suffered a wobble in the middle of the innings, losing three wickets for 17 runs, but Axar Patel (29 off 40 balls) and Shreyas Iyer (48 off 62 balls) kept the ship afloat. With six balls remaining, KL Rahul's undefeated 34 made sure India reached the goal.

Key Performances:

Rohit Sharma, with his significant 76 runs at the top of the order, was named the player of the match. 

 In recognition of his steady play throughout the competition, Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand was named Player of the Tournament. 

 India has now won the Champions Trophy three times, becoming the first team to do so.
